Upfield

It always pays to look a little further afield to see what’s coming your way.

It may help you spot any upcoming impediments, it can assist in deciding how fast you approach the next corner. I’m not talking about riding or driving but about an approach to challenges, aspiring goals, getting things done. If you look ahead only a short distance you are oblivious to any risks or unanticipated obstacles that may present themselves and prevent you from reaching your destination.

Granted, sometimes its worth just letting go and throwing caution to the wind but most of the time its in your interests to look a little upfield. It gives you an opportunity to consider your next move, reconsider your current course from the vantage point you’re at right now. Perhaps a chance to slow down a little and even pause for moment to let things run their course before you proceed.

Looking a little upfield will in fact help you get to your destination and reach your goals faster and more efficiently…even if you have to apply the brakes somewhat. So no matter how fast you’re headed in whatever direction, in whatever you’re doing, aspiring to achieve whatever goal, don’t forget to look upfield. Who knows, it may save you some unnecessary pain and avoidable anguish.
