Ask a Toddler - Refresh

It’s been over a year now since I embarked on this blogging journey and at the time I was really only learning about the power we all have to communicate with written word via the internet to the world.

My vehicle was WordPress and I chose the most basic template I could find. One that allowed the words on the screen speak without distraction. With a quick hack to some of the visuals like page width, font and logo, I had a blog. Since then I hadn’t even considered changing the look and feel of Ask a Toddler. The previous theme did its job. It was basic, easily customisable for a novice like me and had no bells and whistles…seriously…it didn’t even support widgets!

Well that has all changed now, and I feel like a new blogger for it. I see now why people talk about categories and tags so much. I see now why widgets and plugins are all the rave. I see now that just because something can move on the page, it doesn’t necessarily detract from the written word.

That is all. I just wanted to share my excitement about what Ask a Toddler looks like now after growing up a little.
