Logging in

Ask a Toddler - Logging in

It has become so easy to log in into any account, from pretty much any device from anywhere. In fact most of the time you don’t even need to log in because you’re already logged in!

I’m guilty of triaging emails first thing while on a walk with the Jack, checking to see if there’s been any critical updates on projects I’m working on via the all intelligent SmartPhone…Its just so easy! I’m going to make a conscious effort to leave the phone at home occasionally. Let the logging in happen at work, or at a desk, stationary, deliberate, considered, purposeful and not just because I’m logged in.

There’s a handful of people I respect greatly that have chosen to limit their internet use…even cancelling their home internet accounts. That’s probably a little extreme for me but that’s not to say that I’m now going to use the internet only when I have a purpose. Not just because.

I’m logging in for a set amount of time from now on to do predetermined tasks so that I’m not just hanging around logged in for the sake of it. I’ll let you all know how that goes, won’t you join me?
